Lynda has over 25 years’ experience conducting research in multidisciplinary International and UK projects. Her research portfolio includes expertise in user requirements and human factors, the needs of the elderly and people with disabilities, advanced technologies, thermal comfort, daily activities and human behaviour, energy use in domestic and non domestic buildings. In addition to Enhance, her current projects include “Reducing global energy use in buildings while improving occupant comfort and well-being” (British Council, £149k); and IDEAL: Intelligent Domestic Energy Advice Loop (EPSRC £1.7m).
Previous projects include “REFIT – Personalised Retrofit Decision Support Tools for UK Homes using Smart Home Technology (EPSRC £1.5m) “LEEDR Low Effort Energy Demand Reduction” (EPSRC £1.4m) an extensive in depth 20 household study on energy use in the home. “Thermal comfort requirements and responses of people with physical disabilities” (EPSRC, £215k).
